New interactive projects from Tribal DDB

Tribal DDB in recent weeks has launched three new exciting interactive micro-sites for it’s clients Henkel, COTY and Volkswagen!

For Henkel and the Palmex brand, we have prepared an online campaign titled ‘Flekart’ which is based around the idea that stains are something that can be enjoyable and playful. On the microsite www.flekart.cz visitors can create their own t-shirt designs using stains and win great prizes such as a trip to the New York including a visit to the Museum of Modern Art.

During the summer Tribal DDB won it’ first ever online tender and prepared an interesting campaign for new client COTY. This campaign launched a new fragrance ESPRIT Celebration. You can test the scent of your love on the micro-sites www.vunelasky.cz and www.vonalasky.sk and above all order a sample of the new fragrance ‘Celebration’.

And finally we have prepared an artistic competition for children to support the communication for Volkswagen Touran as a safe and spacious family car. On the website detskasoutez.volkswagen.cz , you can upload your child’s drawings of their family car and have an opportunity to win access to a VW Touran for a whole week, including gas!

Tribal DDB – from brand communications to brand experiences

On Sept 2nd DDB Prague launched a new division - Tribal DDB.

Tribal represents a new agency model which directly addresses the growing trend from one way communication, where advertisers intrude on consumers with commercials during their favourite programs, to a new way of communicating that is based on attracting an audience with two way dialogue.

This includes internet based experiences such as interactive web and microsites but also branded entertainment, ambient and experiential communication.

Globally Tribal DDB started as a digital and online agency during the entire dot.com boom of late 90’s.

Some 10 years on Tribal has evolved towards creating branded experiences that inspire people to demand their clients brands, which includes worldwide names like Volkswagen, McDonald’s, Pepsi and Philips.

In addition it is pioneering the way agencies organize themselves to address these new marketing challenges.

In Prague, Tribal DDB has followed a similar path focusing on interactive brand experiences and media neutral thinking.

It has already started working with DDB clients such as Volkswagen, McDonald’s and Philips but the biggest challenge is with new client Vodafone who has partnered with Tribal DDB to help Vodafone achieve it’s objective to become the most desired brand in the Czech Republic.

As a media neutral think tank and agency co-ordination centre Tribal DDB will lead other specialist agency partners to ensure Vodafone moves beyond brand communications and into brand experiences across each communication channel.

We believe this is a one of the most progressive client / agency models in the Czech Republic and look forward to being part of the greatest evolution in marketing communications since the introduction of the Television!

HEY! Wrigley

We are very happy to announce Wrigley as a new client at DDB, and the launch of a brand new campaign for Airwaves!

A little earlier in the year we started working with Wrigley on both the Airwaves and Hubba Bubba brands.

Our first task was a re-launch campaign for Airwaves which has just gone live. We focused on the key product attribute which is a strong, mint taste that gives you a real ‘KICK’ and ready for any challenge.

We created a new key visual to bring the idea to life, and ran it across various media including print, billboards, TVC tag-on and airwaves.cz microsite.

DDB Mountain Weekend

It's been a busy and intense 4 months so it was time to get out into wild and make a trip to Splinderluv Mlyn!

We invited our Slovak DDB brothers and sisters and had great fun participating in a number of team building events, in the evening bonding even closer while tasting some of the best Spanish wines around.

Judging by the hangovers and bruises in the morning it seemed like an event well worth it!

In addition to wine tasting and team building DDB management presented 2008 agency goals and performance for the first quarter.

We are extremely happy to announce that last week Vodafone Czech Republic chose DDB as it’s new lead agency for consumer and business segments after a full tender involving Leo Burnett, Mather Communications, JWT, Grey, The Farm and DDB.

DDB will be responsible for all Vodafone ATL advertising and communications.

In addition Vodafone appointed Tribal DDB with the task of developing media neutral strategic and creative concepts to all key briefs for both consumer and business segments. Tribal DDB will also be responsible for working with Vodafone’s other agency partners (including DDB) to ensure the key message is brought to life with the highest impact across each communication channel (Online, Retail, DM, ATL, Experiential).

This represents one of the most advanced agency / client models on the Czech Market and fulfils Vodafone’s objective of creating a model that will ensure Vodafone moves beyond brand communications and into real brand experiences.

Vodafone’s objective is to become the most desired brand in the Czech Republic by creating superior customer experiences, which is a dream brief for any agency and DDB is very excited to be Vodafone’s partners on this exciting journey !
